The Pittsburgh Steelers were prepared to have their first padded practice of the 2025 season on Tuesday, and players were more than ready to hit one another. However, they will have to wait at least another day for that to take place.
The Steelers took the field with fans in attendance at St. Vincent College ready to hear the pads pop, but inclement weather instantly took over. Heavy rain showers began to pour down, which led to fans being evacuated and players leaving the field. Practice was originally
postponed, but then moved indoors, not open to the public. Pads will not go on for at least another day.

Thunderstorms have been a constant thorn in the side of the Steelers throughout the first week of camp. Practice was cut short on Thursday by approximately 20 minutes due to lightning in the area, and was also cut short on Sunday.
