Former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Heavyweight title challenger Derrick Lewis added to his all-time knockout record by stopping Tallison Teixeira in the main event of UFC Nashville last night (Sat., July 12, 2025) from inside Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee (watch highlights).
Immediately after the fight, “The Black Beast” seized the moment in true Lewis fashion, asking UFC CEO Dana White to connect him with President Donald Trump—who was watching the event from
afar—and got his wish. The impromptu call sent social media into a frenzy as fans speculated about the nature of the conversation.

During the UFC Nashville post-fight press conference (watch here), Lewis was pressed on what he and Trump discussed, but he played coy, leaning into his signature humor.
“It’s classified,” Lewis told reporters. “I been telling have been telling Dana for a couple of weeks now that I need to talk to him about something... It’s almost about stuff about tariffs. We don’t like the FBI right now, me and Trump. They’re trying to get the list out of us. So, I had to tell the President, ‘Don’t have my name on that list.’”
Speaking with a sitting U.S. President moments after a knockout is undeniably epic, and Lewis called it his No. 1 post-fight celebration—a claim tough to dispute given his knack for memorable moments.
But I mean, “my balls was hot” remains unmatched, forever etched in sports history
