Congrats to Grayson Boles (@_graysonboles) on being selected No. 548 overall by the Kansas City @Royals in the 2025 MLB Draft! #DudeAlert@stadirtbags (CA) 2025 • @TexasBaseball signee#MLBDraft https://t.co/HzYcc0QamS
Considered a top-150 prospect in the 2025 recruiting class by Perfect Game, Boles committed to the previous
Texas Longhorns coaching staff in 2023.
Here’s the scouting report on the 6’5, 220-pounder from Perfect Game:
Big and strong prototypical pitcher’s build with plenty of present strength. Has a full arm swing with a high 3/4’s arm slot and a fast arm. Fastball consistently worked in the 92-94 mph range and threw the pitch for strikes with up to 18” of IVB. Slider was a very good pitch for him with high spin and tight biting action, located it well arm side but was able to back foot it to left handed hitters as well. Still developing his change up feel. Solid present stuff with good command and an ability to pitch.
Boles is one of four 2025 commits for the Longhorns selected in the 2025 MLB Draft, which concluded on Monday after 20 rounds.
