Bianca Belair has been out of action since breaking multiple fingers at WrestleMania 41 over three months ago. In an interview with CBS Sports, Belair explained that she’s still on the sidelines because she can’t bend one of her fingers.
“I broke it in three places and the joint. It healed, but it won’t bend...You can’t wrestle with a straight finger because it’ll break again... I can’t even sew right now. I can’t even make gear.”
Belair previously did promotional work with Cardi B for WWE’s upcoming
SummerSlam 2025 event at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey. At one point WWE was said to be hopeful that Belair could return to the ring in time for that show on the weekend of August 2 & 3, but her update doesn’t make it sound very promising. Even so, the EST of WWE isn’t giving up just yet.
“We’re on the tail end of this healing process, so we might have time. But you never know. Crazy things happen.”
On the bright side, Bianca said she “needed this break” from WWE after working non-stop for the last five years, so there’s that.
