Cowboys roster move: Parris Campbell placed on season-ending injured reserve

WHAT'S THE STORY?

Word broke on Friday that the Dallas Cowboys were set to bring back an old friend in offensive lineman La’el Collins. The team officially announced this move on Saturday morning along with a few others. Notably, Parris Campbell was placed on season-ending inured reserve.

It was reported during the week that Campbell was dealing with an MCL sprain. Clearly it was severe enough that the Cowboys, who signed Campbell in free agency this past offseason, felt like injured reserve was the necessary step. This officially ends his 2025 season.

Notably the Cowboys also waived/injured Matt Waletzko. The reason this is notable is because Waletzko is the player who was taken with the fifth-round pick acquired from the Cleveland Browns in the infamous Amari Cooper trade. That officially ends any connection that Dallas has to that, at long last.

The Cowboys are set to practice on Saturday so we will see how things are for them in the aftermath of Micah Parsons’ trade request on Friday.
