Detroit Lions training camp is on hold for a few days, as the team prepares to head due south for the Hall of Fame Game in Canton on Thursday night. In the meantime, though, the team continues to pump out highlights from the last week of practices.
In their latest video, they share an abundance of goodies from training camp. Take a look below, and I’ll share my favorite moments below it and provide more context to the clips that are familiar from my own observations:

Starting around the 36-second mark, we get some of the most entertaining one-on-one drills of camp: Amon-Ra St. Brown vs. Brian Branch. In the first clip, Branch is all over it. He’s in perfect position, and he plays through the hands—making sure the back shoulder throw from Jared Goff has no chance. But on the next rep, St. Brown gets the win. Branch is in a pretty good position, but he can’t find the ball when he turns, and it goes just by his head. This was an absolute DIME from Goff.

After that, you’re treated to a highlight reel of Terrion Arnold pass breakups. A fade to Tim Patrick? BATTED AWAY. A back shoulder to Isaac TeSlaa? NOPE.
As we move to the 53-second mark of the video, we get a pair of 1-on-1 tackling drills between David Montgomery and Jack Campbell. On the first, Montgomery absolutely shakes Campbell, leaving him grasping for air. On the second, Campbell gets his revenge by attacking Montgomery’s waist and taking him to the ground.
At the 1:06 mark, we get a pair of nice Jahmyr Gibbs highlights. Most notably, Gibbs blasts through the hole and just narrowly avoids a diving Branch for a big gain.
The highlight reel closes with one of the most impressive plays of camp—and some equally impressive camera work. To end Saturday’s practice, Hendon Hooker dropped a beautiful pass to rookie receiver Isaac TeSlaa, and the third-round pick made an impressive snag over Dicaprio Bootle for a 30-ish yard gain.
