The Venice parallel section, Giornate degli Autori, has announced its lineup for the 22nd edition, showcasing a diverse array of films from international filmmakers. The competition will feature 10 films, opening with 'Memory' by Ukrainian artist Vladlena Sandu, which explores childhood memories during the First Chechen War. Other notable entries include 'Short Summer' by Russian director Nastia Korkia, 'Last Night I Conquered the City of Thebes' by Spanish director Gabriel Azorín, and 'Memory of Princess Mumbi' by Kenyan filmmaker Damien Hauser. The lineup also includes works from exiled Iranian filmmakers Firouzeh Khosrovani and Morteza Ahmadvand, and Lebanese director Cyril Aris. The event will close with Gianni Di Gregorio's comedy 'Damned If You Do, Damned If You Don’t'.
