'Irkalla' is a hyperrealistic drama set in 2019 Baghdad, following a young boy named Chum-Chum as he navigates a mythical journey in search of his deceased parents. The film is a collaborative effort involving production companies from Iraq, the UAE, Qatar, France, the UK, and Saudi Arabia. Al-Daradji, known for his socially-engaged cinema, describes the film as a 'whispered resistance against silence.'
