As far as world cricket is concerned, there is a lot of emphasis placed in Australia in relation to breast cancer awareness. Every year, they have the New Year’s Test in Sydney, dubbed as the 'Pink Test', in collaboration with the McGrath Foundation to honour Jane McGrath, the late wife of former Australian cricketer Glenn McGrath. The event has slowly but steadily grown into an important event of Cricket Australia’s home season.

As far as the ongoing series is concerned, it is levelled at 1-1. Both the previous matches were played at the Maharaja Yadavindra Singh International Cricket Stadium in New Chandigarh. While Australia won the first ODI quite comprehensively, Indians roared back in the second to level the series and take it into a decider.

Phoebe Litchfield (88 off 80) laid the foundation for her team in the series-opener, and she was well supported by Beth Mooney (77* off 74) and Annabel Sutherland (54* off 51) in the first game as Australia won by eight wickets.

The next clash was thoroughly dominated by India Women as they ended up winning by 102 runs on the back of a splendid ton by Smriti Mandhana (117 off 91) and an all-round bowling display spearheaded by Kranti Goud (3/28 in 9.5 overs).
