Ouster, Inc., a leader in lidar sensors and intelligent software solutions, has announced the expansion of its BlueCity traffic management system to over 100 intersections in Utah. This expansion follows a successful initial deployment at more than a dozen intersections earlier this year. The Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT) awarded Econolite, a partner in intelligent traffic management, a contract to implement Ouster BlueCity across various cities including Cedar City, Ogden, Orem, and Salt Lake City. The system integrates with UDOT's existing traffic signal infrastructure, enhancing safety and efficiency for vehicles, cyclists, and pedestrians through real-time traffic signal interventions.
