A consortium led by Honeywell has been awarded £14.1 million by the UK Government to advance the use of Artificial Intelligence and Additive Manufacturing (AM) in aerospace. The project, funded through the UK Aerospace Technology Institute’s ATI Programme, aims to revolutionize the manufacturing of critical aerospace technologies. It will focus on developing components within Environmental Control Systems and Cabin Pressure Control Systems, enhancing aircraft efficiency and reducing emissions. The initiative also seeks to address supply chain challenges by producing qualified aerospace parts using AM.
