Police investigations have revealed that over Rs 5 crore has been laundered in just two months, with all funds converted into USDT and sent abroad. The scam targets young people with promises of easy money, leading them to lend their accounts for transactions. These mule accounts are used to funnel proceeds from various cybercrimes, including online investment frauds and fake job schemes, into cryptocurrency, making detection difficult due to the use of encrypted communication and decentralized wallets.
