What's Happening?
York Space Systems has completed and shipped 21 of the 42 spacecraft developed for the Tranche 1 transport layer of the Proliferated Warfighter Space Architecture (PWSA). These satellites are part of a mesh network designed to provide global, low-latency communications for the Department of Defense. The satellites are equipped with advanced optical communications links and are expected to operationalize Link 16 connectivity for secure communications.
