Earlier today, rumors started to swirl that Bayern Munich left-back Adam Aznou was pushing harder for a transfer and that information appears to be true. Bild’s Nico Linner (via @iMiaSanMia) had the initial details:

appearances under Vincent Kompany. It remains unclear whether and under what conditions Bayern will let him go. Several clubs have shown interest.

Paddy Boyland of The Athletic (via @iMiaSanMia) then sprung news that Everton wanted Aznou:

Everton have made progress over a deal for Adam Aznou. Everton sources indicated a fee in the region of €9m was being discussed for Aznou.

Foot Mercato’s Hanif Ben Berkane (via @iMiaSanMia) added context as well:

Adam Aznou was a step away from joining Getafe but the deal fell through due to disagreement between the clubs over the amount of the obligation to buy. Everton are now in negotiations with Bayern over a deal that could reach €11m.

Finally, we started to see news of a deal drop from transfer expert Fabrizio Romano:

  • €75 million might be Bayern’s magic number for Liverpool’s Luis Diaz — and we think we finally know why we have been feeling so iffy about the situation.
  • Bayern made its last bid on Nick Woltemade, which could still fall short of the mark. If that fails...who’s next? Maybe of three Red Bull-related players.
  • Are we headed into an era of stability at Bayern Munich? Despite rumors of disconnect, there could be a pathway forward to structure.
