With prices set for Woltemade and Diaz, the ball is in Bayern’s court (Sport Bild’s Christian Falk)
Bayern Munich might not have to think too hard about what it should offer. The numbers are out there for everyone to see.
The problem, though, is that the Bavarians have been reluctant to reach those financial heights for VfB Stuttgart’s Nick Woltemade and Liverpool FC’s Luis Diaz:
Bayern Munich are working hard on these two transfers – they are absolute priorities! In both cases, two offers have already been made. The last offer for Woltemade came on Tuesday evening, with Bayern Munich offering €50m
AD[£43.2m] plus €5m in add-ons (and, additionally, a 10% sell-on clause). VfB Stuttgart rejected this immediately.
It was a similar story for Luis Diaz. We exclusively revealed at CF Bayern Insider that there was an offer of €52m [£44.9m]. This was then followed by a report from David Ornstein at The Athletic on FC Bayern’s €67.5m [£58.4m] bid. However, Liverpool rejected such advances as well.
As noted by our Bundesliga insider, €80m [£69.2m], at a minimum, could bring FC Bayern to the table for negotiations for Diaz. For Woltemade, we’re likewise of the understanding that a bumper fee of €65m [£56.2m] would perform a similar function. Falk went on to add: “In the case of Woltemade and Stuttgart, it is still the opinion of the Bundesliga outfit that they won’t sell the striker in the current summer transfer window.
“That said, we heard that this could still be part of the poker game. €65m [£56.2m] would be a price they would go to the table for. In the case of Luis Diaz, you never know how willing Liverpool are to enter into negotiations, but Diaz has communicated to Bayern Munich yet again that he wants to join them. We expect that about €80m [£69.2m] will be required for Liverpool to entertain a first round of talks.
“Personal terms have already been agreed with Woltemade. In the end, Stuttgart know that they perhaps have to do something, otherwise it could be a difficult season for the German international.”
Bayern Munich’s negotiating tactics seem to have worn thin on the clubs they are trying to work with. At some point, you just cannot keep ignoring what now seems to be public knowledge.
Wolves attempting to bring Sargent back to Germany (Sky Germany’s Florian Plettenberg)
VfL Wolfsburg is attempting to bring former Werder Bremen striker Josh Sargent back to the Bundesliga:
VfL Wolfsburg have reached a full verbal agreement with Josh #Sargent. 25 y/o striker from Norwich can sign a contract until 2029, with Wolfsburg pushing hard for the deal.
Negotiations are advanced, with discussions ongoing over a fee close to €20m. Wolfsburg are trying to close the deal this weekend.

Saudis still chasing Vinicius (ESPN)
The Saudis are once again coming after Real Madrid star Vinícius Júnior:
The Saudi Pro League is again lining up a “world record” offer for Real Madrid winger Vinícius Júnior, according to talkSPORT. Officials are reportedly prepared to make an approach worth €350 million on behalf of Al Ahli for the 25-year-old, who would be offered a five-year deal worth €1 billion. Vinicius entered the final two years of his contract at the Santiago Bernabeu this month, and there is optimism in Saudi Arabia that he could be tempted away from Los Blancos in the near future. The player has been pursued by the Saudis for months.
It most likely will not happen, but if Vinícius Júnior did take the money and run, it could alter Real Madrid’s rumored plans to sell Rodrygo.
Hammers could make play for Grealish (ESPN)
West Ham could be ready to bring in Manchester City winger Jack Grealish:
West Ham are looking at Manchester City winger Jack Grealish, according to talkSPORT. The Hammers have reportedly “registered their interest” in the 29-year-old, but he would need to accept a lower salary than his current £300,000-per-week contract. Uncertainty is surrounding Grealish’s future after he was left out of manager Pep Guardiola’s squad for the Club World Cup, while Everton are also monitoring his situation.

Nothing concrete on Min-jae yet (Sport Bild’s Christian Falk)
Chelsea FC and Tottenham Hotspur are, indeed, interested in Bayern Munich center-back Kim Min-jae, but nothing formal has been lobbed over to Säbener Straße yet.
“We’ve heard that Chelsea and Tottenham are interested in Kim Min-jae,” Falk said. “There’s not any concrete movement on this front at the moment, partly because I think these clubs also have to sell players on their end. Bayern Munich are still willing to sell the South Korean centre-back, but there’s nothing concrete.”
Gyökeres very close to deal with Gunners (ESPN)
Viktor Gyökeres looks ready to sign with Arsenal FC:
There is a difference of just €2.5 million separating Arsenal and Sporting CP from reaching a deal for Viktor Gyökeres’ transfer to the Emirates stadium, Record reports. The two clubs are hopeful of reaching a deal by the end of the week with the Sweden international’s transfer set to reach €80m. Sources told ESPN that Gyökeres had agreed to personal terms with Arsenal over a five-year deal after the club’s sporting director, Andrea Berta, flew out to Portugal for direct talks. The striker went on strike Saturday and refused to report to preseason training.
