Barcelona’s new signing Roony Bardghji has given his first interview to the club and outlined his ambitions for the coming campaign.
The youngster has joined from FC Copenhagen and is expected to divide his time between Barcelona Atletic and the first team.
Bardghji has been with Hansi Flick’s senior squad for the start of pre-season and has told fans what they can expect to see from him.
“It’s huge to be here. I think only two or three Swedish players had played for Barça before me. It’s a huge deal.
ADFor me and for the Swedes, it’s very important,” he told the club’s media.
“I’m a player who likes to have the ball and ask for it. I’m a player who makes my teammates better; I like to use my teammates.
“The team’s last season was spectacular. Hopefully we can do it again this season and reach the end in all competitions, that’s the goal.
“And individually my goal is to be able to enter the team little by little, have minutes and show who I am. I hope I can contribute with goals and assists. To give the maximum of myself so that the club reaches its objectives.”
We’ll be able to get a first glimpse of Bardghji shortly when Barcelona head out to Asia for their pre-season tour.
