It’s the final day that teams can make trades, and we already saw a major one go down overnight with Seattle going out and getting Eugenio Suarez from the Diamondbacks (after essentially salary dumping him over there two years ago, but hey mistakes happen). We’ve got until 6 p.m. EST for the fireworks to keep going off, and maybe the Yankees will pull off a move or two themselves.
Speaking of, Jake has a deadline tracker for you all to start the day, and we’ll be updating it throughout as more and more trades
get announced. Peter has our Rivalry Roundup for the day featuring Toronto winning a wild one against the Orioles, and Nick goes into the bullpen to deliver a July edition of the Reliever Confidence Index as we await any potential additions to the ‘pen. As always, if there are any trades involving the Yankees we’ll have breaking news pieces out on them promptly with more analysis to follow, so stay tuned.
