Sunday the Seattle Seahawks made big news by releasing tight end Noah Fant.
A starter for Seattle in all three seasons since being acquired in the trade that sent Russell Wilson to the Denver Broncos, moving on from Fant not only freed up a roster spot, it opened up $8.91M of cap space. That combination gave rise to speculation that general manager John Schneider could have a big acquisition coming in the form of a trade, but a report Monday afternoon appears to have dashed those hopes for the time
being.

According to his agent, defensive back Kam Alexander has signed with the Seahawks. Alexander spent the 2024 season at the University of Oregon, after playing for UTSA in 2023 and the Sam Houston State Bearkats from 2019 through 2022.
Alexander was a rookie minicamp invitee for the Seahawks in the spring after going undrafted.

That came after the Seahawks brought him in for an official 30 visit ahead of the draft.

So, the roster is, reportedly, once again full.
