Real Madrid have officially added another fixture to their 2025 preseason calendar. The club will travel to Austria to take on WSG Tirol on Tuesday, August 12, at the Tivoli Stadion in Innsbruck. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:00 PM local time.
This friendly marks part of Xabi Alonso’s carefully constructed preparation plan as the team ramps up toward the start of the 2025–26 La Liga season, which begins just a week later on Tuesday, August 19, at the Santiago Bernabéu against Osasuna.
WSG Tirol, who compete
in the Austrian Bundesliga, will host the match at their 17,000-seat home ground. For Real Madrid, this game will be their first since the FIFA Club World Cup earlier this summer and provides another opportunity to sharpen their fitness and tactical structure under Xabi Alonso.
The squad is set to return to Valdebebas for training on Monday, August 4, following a well-earned break. The match in Innsbruck will allow Xabi to experiment with lineups, manage workloads across the squad, and continue integrating the club’s new signings ahead of the competitive campaign.
