Hansi Flick was happy to share his thoughts on Barcelona’s pre-season tour of Asia after overseeing a 5-0 win over Daegu in the team’s final match.

The result means Barcelona have won all three games on the tour, banged in plenty of goals and given new signings and youngsters plenty of game time.

Flick spoke after the win over Daegu and seemed pretty happy.

“It’s very important to have these players from La Masia. In these three matches, we’ve been able to give almost all of the players 45 minutes.”

he told reporters.

“I’m very happy; the players have shown their mentality, and it wasn’t easy due to the weather. Now we’ll go home and have two days of recovery, and on Thursday we’ll continue with preseason.

“We have had good training sessions and we have seen what we wanted to see. They have been good tests and I am satisfied”.

The Barca boss also had a few words of praise for Marcus Rashford after seeing the loanee score his first goal for his new club.

“He can play as a nine or as a winger, he knows how to play in both positions. Of course we have changed some things to avoid problems,” he said.

“For us there are more options and that’s what’s important.”

There were also some kind words for Gerard Martin after he was deployed at center-back rather than his usual position on the left.

“He can play center-back, and that gives us more options. He can play at full-back and center-back,” he added.

“It’s good to have more options because he can help us throughout the season.”

Barcelona will play one final friendly against Como in the Gamper Trophy before starting the defence of their La Liga title against Real Mallorca.
