According to a report from L’Equipe (as captured by @iMiaSanMia), Bayern Munich really was taking a wild swing when trying to get Paris Saint-Germain star Bradley Barcola earlier this summer.

How wild?

Well, maybe so wild that it was a little misguided:

On the surface, there is no harm with shooting for the stars, but the time spent on chasing Barcola might have been better used on more realistic targets. Still, it is hard to knock a club for at least trying when it is trying to transition to a new era — and also trying desperately to find a new left-wing.
