de Ridder remains perfect in his UFC career when he won a split decision over former UFC champion Whittaker in the main event (47-48, 48-47, 48-47). de Ridder is now 4-0 since joining the UFC.

It came down to the fourth round for the three judges of the fight. Mike Bell gave rounds 1, 3 and 4 to Whittaker for his 48-47 score, while judges Ben Cartlidge and David Lethaby gave de Ridder rounds 1, 3, and 4 for their 48-47 scores for de Ridder.
Whittaker has now lost two straight fights for the first time in the UFC since 2014.
