When word got around that Jelly Roll was likely going to be involved in a match at SummerSlam, and likely against Logan Paul, it was fair to wonder exactly what that would look like. Paul is good, sure, but Mr. Roll has no pro wrestling training whatsoever.
As it turns out, he won’t need much of it, because they’re going the tag team route.
Indeed, Jelly made quick friends with Randy Orton, who is currently in a program with Drew McIntyre. Paul has since aligned with McIntyre, if only to oppose the
other two. It came to a head with an angle on SmackDown this past week followed by another confrontation at Saturday Night’s Main Event.
Orton defeated McIntyre but was attacked by Paul post-match. Jelly got involved and ended up eating a Claymore kick for his efforts. Instead of tucking tail from there, he told Orton he wanted payback and they decided SummerSlam, scheduled for Sat., Aug. 2 & Sun., Aug. 3 in New Jersey, would be the place to do it:
IT IS OFFICIAL. @RandyOrton and @JellyRoll615 will team up to take on @LoganPaul and @DMcIntyreWWE at SummerSlam!
