Mustafa Ali collided with Cedric Alexander for a WrestleMania rematch at TNA Slammiversary (July 20, 2025). The fight featured a scary spot, but they recovered to put on a banger as the next chapter in their career series.

The bout fired up with aggression from Alexander for a pair of German suplexes on the floor.

came a short while later when Ali went for a suicide dive and crunched his neck on the landing.

Ali responded on social media to clarify that he is okay after the fall. Ali said that it was nobody’s fault, and he took the blame for slipping off his opponent.

Appreciate everyone’s concern.

Unfortunately, I have to pull the curtain back here because the talent ringside was absolutely not responsible for that scary fall in any way and they are getting all the blame. They did exactly what they were instructed to do.

I tried to do a variation of a dive and simply slipped off my opponent. No one to blame but me.

I am all good. See ya on #TNAiMPACT

The action continued with Alexander executing a super Michinoku Driver onto the pile of bodies below.

Ali also took a big air back body drop onto the ring steps.

Order 4 helped Ali gain control for a 450 splash, however, Alexander kicked out on the cover. Tasha Steelz lost her mind and shoved the referee. She was ejected from ringside. Aside from the physicality and interference, the story was also Alexander being so familiar with Ali’s style as partners and opponents over the years. Alexander was a step ahead in anticipation of Ali’s movement. He counter Ali’s roll into a cutter followed by more German suplexes and an overhead toss into the corner. Alexander fought off the Great Hands and executed his Lumbar Check finisher, but Ali kicked out in a dramatic near fall.

Steelz returned to the mix with a chair. Alexander was no dummy. He blocked her plan, so she took a swing. Alexander struck back with a Lumbar Check to Steelz. Ali took advantage of the situation with perfect timing to land a 450 splash for the win. The sequence was sweet. Just listen to how hot the crowd reacted.

Ali is a standup guy off screen, but he is a real prickly pear on screen. And now his character can boast about beating Alexander in their WrestleMania rematch.
