Check out a quick look at a hitter and pitcher who performed at the top of the Astros system in the last week of baseball.
HITTER:
Collin Price - Price was drafted in the 6th round of the 2022 draft and has steadily made his way up the system. He started the year on fire but cooled off a bit. This week he got hot again hitting .429 with 2 triples, a home run and 3 runs batted in. He is having a solid season overall posting a .787 OPS with 14 doubles, 13 home runs and 47 runs batted in over 78 games
for Sugar Land. He has split time between catcher and first base.
PITCHER:
Dylan Howard - Howard was the Astros 8th round pick in 2024 and was an intriguing pick after some solid numbers at Radford. He started the year dealing with an injury, but he’s finally healthy and on the mound now. This week for Fayetteville he had his best start as a pro tossing 5 scoreless innings allowing 1 hit while striking out 6. He has a 3.86 ERA in 23.1 innings for the Woodpeckers this season.
