Chema Andres, a central midfielder from Real Madrid Castilla, is set to join German side VfB Stuttgart for a reported €3 million, with Madrid retaining 50 % of his rights, according to BILD, Ramón Álvarez de Mon, and Diario AS.
The 20‑year‑old midfielder has already arrived in Stuttgart to undergo his medical and finalise terms. Stuttgart have agreed to a package that sees €3 million paid up front for half of his rights, keeping Madrid with significant percentage for future sell‑on or buy-back option.
AS emphasises that despite interest from Spanish clubs such as Levante, Chema preferred the ambitious project at Stuttgart, a team that won the DFB‑Pokal and qualified for the Europa League. Known for his height, physicality and role as a deep‑lying playmaker, his style draws comparisons to Rodri.
Last season, Andres made three senior appearances for Real Madrid’s first team under Carlo Ancelotti. At Stuttgart, he is expected to be coached by Sebastian Hoeneß and integrate alongside midfielders like Angelo Stiller, a Real Madrid target.
