4 years ago, Italy had just advanced to the finals of Euro 2020 (don’t think too hard about that math). Gennaro Gattuso had just Grampa Abe Simpsoned his way into and back out of Florence, setting the stage for an unheralded bald guy named Vincenzo Italiano to take over. Fiorentina had also shelled out a record transfer fee for Nico González. The number one song on the chart was Butter by BTS, which doesn’t mean anything to me. Basically, it was a very different time.
The other thing that happened
was that we did our most recent VN happy hour and video call. We did a few through the Covid years but stopped once the restrictions started lifting. I’ve heard some interest in running another one of these, though, so let’s give it a shot and see what happens. When are you free?
