Mexico started their 2025 U15 CONCACAF Championship in grand fashion by destroying Nicaragua with a 9-0 win. From the first minute to the last, Mexico was the superior team. The bigger physicality, speed and well worked passing was too much for Nicaragua to handle. Mexico made a great start to the tournament in which they are one of the favorites but they will have tougher opposition as the group stage continues. Nicaragua only threatened dangerously once and it was with the score already 8-0, so they will not be a good test for how the rest of the tournament will be for Mexico in terms of difficulty. Mexico will now face El Salvador, the other weak team from Group A while Nicaragua faces off against Honduras.
