The 2025 NFL Preseason will officially kick off tonight when the Los Angeles Chargers and Detroit Lions face off in the Hall of Fame Game at Tom Benson Hall of Fame Stadium in Canton, OH.
The stadium was renamed in 2017 for the late Tom Benson, longtime owner of the New Orleans Saints, after he generously donated $11 million to the Pro Football Hall of Fame, $10 million of which went into renovating what was then Fawcett Stadium.

The
Hall of Fame game is the first preseason game of the year and is held on the Thursday before the NFL’s Hall of Fame induction ceremony. At least one of the teams playing in the Hall of Fame Game has a former player or coach being inducted into that year’s HOF class.
The game will kick off at 7:00 p.m. CT on NBC and will be streamed on Peacock and NFL+
