In a wild day filled with retirements, some were more unexpected than others. Tyrann Mathieu's retirement was the first shock that made New Orleans Saints fans' world stop for a second, and shortly after, it was announced that second-year TE Dallin Holker is also retiring from the NFL.

It is unclear why the 25-year-old decided to retire this early in his career. Still, it is worth noting that Holker
has been dealing with an ankle injury, which has affected his ability to participate in practice.
Initially, the Saints announced that they waived Holker. However, shortly after that announcement, Holker made his announcement on Instagram that he had decided to retire.
While there is some confusion about exactly what/how this happened, the Saints have lost another player today, just one day before the start of training camp.
