Better to be safe than sorry ...

Following UFC 318 last night (Sat., July 19, 2025) inside Smoothie King Center in New Orleans, La, company officials confirmed to MMAmania.com that three fighters were transported to the local hospital for precautionary reasons following their fights.

Kevin Holland was transported for a precautionary CT scan of his head and face after this insane brawl with Daniel Rodriguez, which he lost via unanimous decision.

For whatever reason, Holland didn’t win Fight of the Night,

but he did win a trip to the hospital.

“Trailblazer” had his two-fight winning streak snapped at UFC 318, in which he defeated Gunnar Nelson and Vicente Luque.

Marcin Prachnio was sent to the hospital for a left elbow and left foot x-ray, following his nasty submission loss to Jimmy Crute, where he had his arm almost broken in an armbar (watch highlights).

His X-ray results are unknown at the moment.

Prachnio is on a two-fight losing streak, getting submitted in both of them, and is 2-4 in his last six UFC fights.

Finally, Brazil’s Nicolle Caliari was transported to the hospital for a precautionary CT scan of her head and face, following a third-round TKO loss to Carli Judice — as her eye was swollen going into the third round.

Caliari is still searching for her first UFC win and is currently 0-2 in the promotion.

It is not a rare occurrence for UFC to transport fighters to the hospital for precautionary reasons, especially if the fighters are involved in three-round battles full of damage. As of this writing, none of the scan results have been officially released, but stay with MMAmania.com for health-related updates.
