Tennessee Titans quarterback and former Kentucky Wildcats star Will Levis has officially been ruled out for the 2025 NFL season, per NFL Network insider Ian Rapoport.

Levis will undergo surgery on his throwing shoulder on July 29 in an effort to prioritize long-term health and be ready for the 2026 campaign.

The Titans released a statement confirming the news:

“After consulting with doctors and his representatives, Will Levis has decided to undergo shoulder surgery that will sideline him for the entire

2025 season. We support his decision to focus on his long-term health. He approached the offseason with professionalism and showed clear growth as a leader. We remain confident in his full recovery.”

Since being selected No. 33 overall in the 2023 NFL Draft, Levis has had a rocky start with his NFL career. He was phenomenal in his debut with four touchdown passes in a win over Atlanta but struggled with consistency and injuries over two seasons. In 2024, under new head coach Brian Callahan, Levis posted a 2–10 record with 2,091 yards, 13 touchdowns, and 12 interceptions while being sacked 41 times.

Still, his collegiate career at Kentucky remains a major highlight. After transferring from Penn State, Levis teamed up with Liam Coen and Wan’Dale Robinson in 2021, leading the Wildcats to a 10–3 record while throwing for 2,827 yards and 24 touchdowns. He finished his UK career with a 17–7 record as a starter, making himself as one of the greats from the program.
