The Steelers will be starting training camp down one starter, head coach Mike Tomlin announced Wednesday. Veteran guard Isaac Seumalo will be on the non-football injury list with a soft tissue issue, TribLive’s Chris Adamski reported.
Mike Tomlin: Everyone is present and accounted for -- but G Isaac Seumalo has "a soft tissue issue" that will have him open camp on the Non-Football Injury List

The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette’s Ray Fittipaldo added that Spencer Anderson will step in for Seumalo on the Steelers’
first team. It’s expected, but shows the hierarchy of the Steelers’ offensive line depth chart to open the season.
Fittipaldo added that Tomlin has not had “in-depth” conversations with the team’s medical staff yet to know the extent of Seumalo’s injury timeline. The 31-year-old guard started 13 games for the Steelers last season. He’s entering the last year of his contract.
Seumalo’s placement on the NFI list opens up a spot on the Steelers’ offseason roster, meaning the Steelers could make a move in the coming days.
The first training camp practice open to the public will be Thursday, July 24.
