The Broadway Show League, established in 1955, is a co-ed softball league comprising Broadway and Off-Broadway show members, including celebrities, cast, crew, and orchestras. The league plays on Thursday afternoons in Central Park and requires two women to bat and play the field at all times. Sponsored by ActorsFCU, the league supports Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS through donations and covers expenses for events like Broadway Night with the Mets and end-of-season awards.
