The Long Island Warriors, a hockey program for current and former military members, recently hosted their fifth annual Summer Shootout at the Northwell Health Ice Center. The event featured three days of competitive play across three skill levels: A, C, and E tiers. Teams from across the country, including those from St. Louis, Boston, Washington DC, Florida, and Rochester, participated alongside local FDNY and EMS ice hockey teams. The Warriors, who have grown from three to four teams due to increasing interest, showcased their newest team, which won the Division E Title against the Boston Warriors. The event has become a staple for the Warriors since their inception in 2020, fostering camaraderie and community among veterans.
