The Union Government is set to launch a nationwide campaign targeting fake and harmful agricultural inputs, such as spurious pesticides, fertilizers, and seeds. In response, Chouhan announced the formation of a high-level scientific inquiry to investigate the issue thoroughly. The Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) has constituted a four-member committee to examine the affected fields, chaired by Dr. J.S. Mishra, Director of ICAR’s Directorate of Weed Research, Jabalpur. The committee is scheduled to visit the site on August 18 and submit its findings promptly.
