You Matter 2's NextGEN summer internship program held its Pitch Day, where 14 interns presented business and social impact ideas to a panel of local professionals. The interns, high school seniors and college freshmen, competed in teams, addressing issues such as fake news, diversity in STEM, and nurse burnout. The event, held at the Discover Center's Shine Bright Community Center in Chicago, aimed to empower and educate South Suburban youth through entrepreneurship and professional development. TrioSync, a team focused on anesthesia needs in East Africa, won the competition with a near-perfect score.
