What's Happening?
Oheka Castle, located in Huntington, Long Island, was built by Otto Hermann Kahn in 1915. It is the second-largest private home in the U.S., constructed with fireproof materials by Delano & Aldrich. The castle served as Kahn's private estate until his death in 1934. It was later used as a retreat and military academy before being restored by Gary Melius in the 1980s. Oheka Castle is now a member of Historic Hotels of America and serves as a wedding venue and tourist attraction.
