Margate Pride, one of the largest Pride events in Kent, is underway with thousands participating in the annual community-led parade. The event began at Walpole Bay Lawns and proceeded along the seafront to Dreamland. The celebration includes music events featuring choirs, drag performances, and DJs at the seaside theme park. Ellie Powling, the engagement coordinator for Margate Pride, emphasized the event's significance as a protest, expressing excitement for the diverse participation from both young and old attendees.
