What's Happening?
The Driskill Hotel, part of The Unbound Collection by Hyatt, is undergoing a full renovation and restoration in Austin, Texas. The project, led by Pixiu Investments, Woodbine Development, and Hyatt Hotels Corporation, aims to transform the historic hotel, which was built in 1886, into a modern luxury destination. The renovation will include updates to 175 guestrooms, the lobby, common areas, meeting spaces, and culinary outposts. The first phase will debut in Fall 2025, featuring a reimagined Driskill Bar and Grill, a new ballroom, and a fitness center. The second phase, set for Summer 2026, will focus on the hotel lobby and historic guestroom tower.
