The study, published in Drug and Alcohol Dependence Reports, compared BUP-XR with daily oral buprenorphine and no medication for OUD. Results showed that BUP-XR patients had 57% lower odds of all-cause emergency visits and fewer hospitalizations, highlighting its potential to improve healthcare resource utilization and patient outcomes.
