What's Happening?
The Chicago Department of Cultural Affairs and Special Events (DCASE) organizes more than 2,000 free exhibitions, concerts, theatrical and dance performances, films, lectures, and family events each year. These events are held at various venues including the historic Chicago Cultural Center, Millennium Park, and Grant Park. The Visual Art Program at the Chicago Cultural Center focuses on presenting exhibitions of fine art across all media, with a special emphasis on emerging and underrepresented artists from the Chicago area. DCASE also hosts popular festivals such as Taste of Chicago, Chicago Blues Festival, and Chicago Jazz Festival.
