Kano State has entered into a $12.3 million agreement with Sasakawa Africa Association (SAA)-Nigeria to advance agricultural mechanisation. Supported by the Islamic Development Bank and the Lives and Livelihood Fund, this initiative marks the second phase of the Kano State Agropastoral Development Project (KSADP). The project aims to establish mechanisation centers across all local government areas, providing farmers with modern tools and practices. The first phase improved food security and livelihoods, and the new phase will further reduce labor intensity and enhance sustainability in agriculture.
