To address this, AmSkills, a nonprofit workforce training center in Holiday, Florida, is providing intensive training programs to prepare individuals for careers in manufacturing, public works, utilities, and stormwater industries. Participants engage in hands-on training, learning skills such as 3D printing, soldering, robotics, and electrical engineering. Upon completion, they receive certificates and interview with local manufacturers, with entry-level positions offering starting salaries of $65,000.
