Azorra, a Fort Lauderdale-based aircraft lessor, has acquired 13 Embraer 190-E1 aircraft from JetBlue as part of a fleet transition deal. This acquisition includes 36 General Electric CF34-10E6 engines. The deliveries of these aircraft began in July and are expected to continue through the second quarter of 2026. JetBlue is in the process of replacing its E190 fleet with Airbus A220-300s, which offer approximately 40% more capacity. JetBlue initially launched the E190 in North America in 2005. Azorra's CEO, John Evans, expressed enthusiasm about the transaction, highlighting the reliability and demand for the Embraer E-Jet family. JetBlue's vice president for strategic sourcing and fleet, Dmitry Kopylov, noted that the deal allows JetBlue to efficiently monetize its E190 assets.
