The transformation began with Surefit Fitted Furniture, a bespoke cabinetmaker, and expanded through word of mouth to include C&E Aluminium Systems, MJH Joinery, Reverse Engineering, and Rustic Tubs. These companies have developed tailored digital roadmaps and invested £181,000 in technology projects with grants from Made Smarter. They are forecasting growth, new jobs, and are building a peer-led local network to inspire more manufacturers. The initiative has led to significant improvements in productivity, waste reduction, and job creation across the participating firms.
