Teen Passenger Critically Injured in Queens Rollover Crash on Cross Island Parkway
A 19-year-old passenger sustained critical head injuries after being ejected from a vehicle during a rollover crash on the Cross Island Parkway in Queens, New York. The incident occurred Saturday night in Whitestone around 9:15 p.m. According to police investigators, a 19-year-old driver operating a 2020 Toyota Camry was traveling northbound and attempted to merge from the left lane into the middle lane. The driver failed to navigate the roadway, resulting in the Camry colliding with the rear of a 2008 Honda Accord. Following the impact, the Camry overturned. Two passengers from the Camry, a 16-year-old boy and the critically injured 19-year-old man, were ejected onto the parkway. The younger teen suffered minor injuries and was transported to NewYork-Presbyterian Queens in stable condition.
