MSU Extension Marks Opening of Mississippi LIFT Center in Brookhaven
The Mississippi State University (MSU) Extension Service, in partnership with the Mississippi Department of Human Services (MDHS), has officially opened the new Mississippi LIFT Resource and Referral Network Center in Brookhaven. This initiative aims to expand statewide access to early childhood educational materials, family activities, and referral services. The ribbon-cutting ceremony was attended by various university and state leaders, including U.S. Senator Cindy Hyde-Smith, MSU Extension Director Angus Cachot, and MDHS Director Bob Anderson. The center is part of a broader effort to support early childhood development and provide resources to families across Mississippi. The collaboration between MSU Extension and MDHS underscores a commitment to enhancing educational opportunities and support systems for young children and their caregivers.
