Cleveland Clinic Partners with Alice L. Walton Foundation and Mercy for New Health Campus in Arkansas
The Alice L. Walton Foundation and Mercy have initiated the development of AWSOM, a 120-acre health care campus in Bentonville, Arkansas. This new facility is designed as a specialty care and 'whole-health' destination, offering a range of medical services. A significant aspect of this development is the partnership with Cleveland Clinic, which will provide cardiac services. In addition to cardiology, the campus will feature programs in cancer, orthopedics, and gastroenterology. The aim of this comprehensive health care center is to serve patients across multiple states, indicating a regional impact. This initiative is part of a broader trend of health care infrastructure development, as highlighted by other projects across the U.S., including expansions by Sutter Health in California and Renown Health in Nevada, and various projects in the Buffalo-Niagara region of New York. The Cleveland Clinic's involvement underscores its expanding reach and collaborative efforts in delivering specialized medical care.
