Princess Charlene of Monaco Joins Royal Family for Historic Visit to Les Baux-de-Provence
Princess Charlene of Monaco, accompanied by her husband Prince Albert and their twin children, Prince Jacques and Princess Gabriella, undertook a significant royal engagement in Les Baux-de-Provence, France. The visit on Saturday was steeped in historical tradition, as Prince Jacques, the heir to the Monegasque throne, was presented with the keys to the city. This ceremony mirrors one his father, Prince Albert, experienced in 1982. The village holds a long-standing association with the Monaco royal family, stemming from the Treaty of Péronne in 1642, which established the Lordship of Les Baux as a marquisate for the Grimaldi family.
